Nazanin Fakoor is an Iranian-German visual artist and stage director based in Brussels. She creates immersive visual and spatial works across visual arts, music theatre, opera, and performance, combining installation, stage direction, video, light, sound, movement, and music.
Her work explores perception, collective experience, and identity, often in close collaboration with composers, musicians and performers. Key projects include Rainbow, Hexeneinmaleins, and Light Drawing. Her work has been presented across Europe, the US, and Canada in museums, theatres, festivals, and orchestral contexts.
Installations Light Drawing and Rainbow are part of the Flemish Community of Belgium Art Collection (M HKA – Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp).
